Since this is my last post, I will take the chance to say ‘fuck it all’ and state this:
The majority of the KRP community has turned into a shithole. All the sexism, racism, and prejudice in society has been translated and multiplied in this roleplay community. Female muses don’t get attention unless they’re cute or sexy. If a female is cute, she’s just annoying and “trying to get oppa’s” attention. If a female muse is sexy, she’s a “slut” and apparently “sleeps around.” However, if a male muse is either of those, it’s perfect okay. Then there’s the issue of people saying the n-word like it’s no big deal. Did y’all study slavery and how Africans were oppressed? Did y’all even pay attention to the negative connotation of the word?
Saying ‘It’s all for fun,’ ‘we’re just joking around,’ and ‘nobody’s getting hurt’ as an excuse to make being sexist, racist, and prejudice on the internet is not okay.
An excuse is an attempt to justify a wrong act. Remember that.
While I’m at it, let me bring the issue of dragging ooc gender/issues into roleplay. I do not care if you’re stressing out from homework. I do not care if you’re a boy or a girl behind the computer screen. I do not give a damn who you are behind the computer screen when we are roleplaying. If we’re both talking ooc in the inbox or AIM, it’s all good. However, when you start spamming the goddamn dash about your ooc issues, that’s when the issues come up. Don’t drag your ooc bias or shipping into roleplay. Don’t fucking be a cockblock to another muse just because you want your OTP to happen. Don’t be a dick. Don’t threaten ooc suicide because someone’s muse doesn’t want to be in a relationship with your muse. Don’t be a goddamn child about roleplay.
Adding to being a child, if your muse is dating another muse, be an adult about it. Don’t be a dick and sleep around behind your muse’s significant other’s back. Don’t be a bitch and start hogging all the guys because ‘they’re yours and no one should date them unless they’re approved by you’ because that’s just being immature and frankly, you’re just a whiny child that needs constant attention. Most importantly, don’t be a homewrecker. If a person politely declines because he/she is in a happy relationship, back the fuck off.
No means no.
I don’t care if you’re in your mid-twenties or a teenager, if you’re not mentally mature enough to handle roleplay, don’t roleplay.
There, that’s my honest opinion about the krp community. This is filtering out how I feel about the cliques, how people perceive homosexuality, fetishize the Korean race, think that roleplay only involves sex, or the fact that people relate having a good-looking theme to good roleplaying abilities. Having good-looking theme does not make a good roleplayer. Chances are, like guys with small dicks who need guns, you’re just trying to make up for something you lack.
In the end, I’m just preaching to the choir. No one listens anymore. No one even cares. Y’all can reblog all of those social justice posts all you want, it doesn’t change anything if no one takes a stance. I can see why the good roleplayers all leave this community.
